Marge Geissler has been Register of Deeds for Chippewa County since 1995 and employed with Chippewa County since 1987. Marge served as past President of the Wisconsin Register of Deeds Association, and over the years has served as chair of District 5, and chair of the Technology, Seminar, and Vital Records Committees.
Marge is a member of the Wisconsin County Constitutional Officers Association, Wisconsin Register of Deeds Association, Wisconsin Association of County Officers, Wisconsin Land Information Association, Realtors Association of Northwestern Wisconsin, PRIA, United States Association of Recorders and The National Association of County Recorders, Election Officials and Clerks.
Marge has been very active in land records modernization. She was one of the first Registrars to invest in a modern indexing and imaging system and offer her real estate records online. This has made it possible for real estate related companies or individuals to search the records from the convenience of their home or office. The use of Electronic Wisconsin Transfer Returns as well as E-Recording continues to grow in Chippewa County, which provides an efficient and faster service.
A lifelong resident of Chippewa County, Marge has been active in many community organizations. Marge has three fantastic children and three beautiful grandchildren Anna, Madeline, & Sophia. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family & friends as well as traveling.
