Kreitlow Elected to Leadership Role

Senator Pat Kreitlow will have a leadership role in the State Senate this term: President Pro Tempore. Here's the full list of officers, elected by the Democratic Caucus of the Senators and Representatives:

Democratic Legislative Leadership Teams Set

Democrats this week elected Rep. Mike Sheridan of Janesville to serve as the first Democratic speaker of the Assembly in 14 years. Rep. Tom Nelson of Kaukauna was elected Assembly majority leader.
 
The other Assembly leaders elected by Dems include: Reps. Tony Staskunas of West Allis, speaker pro tempore; Donna Seidel of Wausau, assistant majority leader, Rep.-elect Peter Barca of Kenosha, caucus chair; Barbara Toles of Milwaukee, caucus vice chair; Marlin Schneider of Wisconsin Rapids, caucus sergeant at arms; and Ann Hraychuck of Balsam Lake as caucus secretary.
 
Senate Democrats unanimously re-elected Sen. Russ Decker of Weston to serve as the majority leader in the upcoming legislative session.
 
The other Senate leaders elected by Dems include: Sens. Dave Hansen of Green Bay, assistant majority leader; Fred Risser of Madison, president; Pat Kreitlow of Eau Claire, president pro tempore; John Lehman of Racine, caucus chair; Kathleen Vinehout of Alma, caucus vice chair; and Sen.-elect Jim Holperin of Eagle River as caucus sergeant at arms.
